My Darling Brother Paul

Today my darling brother Paul was told that he has terminal cancer. Medically, they can't do anything for him.

He could move on within 3 weeks, 6 months to a year .

Quite amazingly he has a peacefulness about him, he spoke of his innner core and how his essence will not be affected. (: How could it :) He has discovered a relief, in non resistance to what is and knows he is not the suffering body.

I opened my heart to my own suffering today, I cried & cried & cried. I fully experienced the pain of attachment and will continue (I guess) until I no longer need this growth. In being aware of my emotions and thoughts and not owning them I have discovered that after the experiences I always come back to my very own core of pure beingness ~ my heart of truth ~ LOVE

I follow my heart when my mind is not limited!

By not limiting my mind, I discover that my heart is fuller, richer, clearer, capable of intense feeling, capable of seeing the beauty in nature, my children's smiling eyes, and the agony of people suffering in war.

In following my heart I find I am sensitive to everything ~ to the animal, to the ant busily working, to the whale being massacred, the filth of human beings in poverty and despair.
I have to be sensitive ~ which is to feel intensely, not in any particular direction, which is not an emotion which comes and goes, but to be sensitive with every cell of my body, with my nerves, with my eyes, with my ears, with my voice. I must follow my heart completely ~ always <3

To put an end to outward war, you must begin to put an end to war in yourself.

Khalid from Iraq... His~story

My name is Khalid, I am an environmental engineering student and I am 24, but this is the least important to know about me, what's really important for me to tell, and for you to know, is that I am Iraqi, and that I have a deep, deep wound in my soul, that has been bleeding for over four years now.

Iraq, my soul, is bleeding. And I had to leave it against my will, because of the incredibly bad security situation that led to me getting kidnapped and my family paying a huge ransom, which made me leave immediately after I was released in fear that I would be kidnapped again. I left Iraq one month before my graduation and had to come to Jordan, which made me lose two years of my university time and life, but even worse, made me lose the company of the Tigris and the Euphrates.

I had to travel, leaving Iraq behind me, to live like a refuge, one of a million other refuges, in a country of less than five millions people that already has its own financial problems without needing our additional burden to add to it. I am an Iraqi refuge in Jordan.

Since I left in July 2005, things have exponentially deteriorated in every possible aspect, now people hardly get 1 hours of electricity a day; they have water problems, regular lack of gas that its prices multiplied about 20 times since the war. Let alone the main and real problems of the actual presence of an occupation that is leaching on the country and causing the destruction to its people, unity, sovereignty, infrastructure and economy.

Iraq is the loving mother, that gave birth to thinkers and builders, people that enriched humanity with their contributions in all aspects of life, people that their civilization accumulated for over 7000 years till now.

Iraq, the noble wisdom, the land of the two flowing rivers, the land of the mosques and churches, is in crises, and needs your help.

Yes. It needs your help.

Iraqis need the support of the world, of every human being that believes in the values of justice and peace, of every person that cares about the judgment of history on what the world did when Iraq needed its support the most. Iraq needs your voice, to support the voices of its own people, to help remove that injustice, and help it rise up again and stand on its feet.

Help us demand to give Iraq back to Iraqis, and to prove to the future generations once more, that occupations don't last, that occupations are wrong, and that the will of people is invincible. Help us clear to them that our hearts and minds, our values and sense of justice, are stronger than any tank, battleship or rocket. ZAADIARY

Dear Zaadiary today my friend Sandra decided to take her little girl to the beach; they drove by to collect me. On the way we stopped at a red light. As soon as it turned green the man behind us impatiently honked his horn. As he angrily sped past us he stuck his hand out and made a ‘quacking' gesture, as if to say, (ignorant women cackling away like a couple of hens). Sandra and I looked at each other and laughed.

I had the feeling that we would meet up with him and what would be my response? Within the few seconds ~ within the pause ~ the inner stillness of my being, I had a choice!

As we approached him I looked out of my window and called out "I love you!"

He reacted with something like, "get lost you nuisance".

Compassion was my helper today, it allowed me to see this man tied up in his frustration, in all his anger and without judgement it allowed him to be...

And so with my biggest heartfelt smile, again I yelled, "I LOVE YOU!"

At that moment the corners of his mouth slowly turned up towards his eyes, his eyes followed with a sparkle, the sparkle released his frustration and there appeared to be an allowing......he let go, he let go of the seriousness......he smiled :)

An earnest BIG smile :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Let's get loose with Compassion.........

1:) Let's see... where shall I start... as a child if I was held back I would become disobedient, stubborn & wilful, I was not the whinging, cry baby type. I loved the outdoors (still do) and needed plenty of exercise and independence ~ otherwise I just took them! (I guess these days I'd be labelled with ADHD) I was colourful, wild and would enliven our household by dancing and entertaining my parent's guests (still do) ha, ha... I actually won dance competitions in the 80's, can still do the hysterical moves, great for getting a dance party started!

2:) This is totally from my memory, so I'm sure I've missed a few... (to obtain more I'd need to access my archived electronic memory accumulator ~ 'video camera & recordings')
I've lived in Tasmania, Sydney, Byron Bay (Australia), Tokyo, London, L.A, Munich, Hamburg, Zurich, Dubai. I've worked in Tasmania, Sydney, Byron Bay, Darwin, Queensland (Australia), Bangkok, Penang, Canary Islands, Tokyo, London, Munich, Hamburg, Austria, Zurich, Corsica, Venice. I've visited Frazer Island, New Zealand, Fiji, Seychelles, Gibraltar, Morocco, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, United States and U.K.

3:) Over the years I've graced (: with grace :) magazine covers and the inside of numerous fashion magazines. Featured in many TV commercials and appeared on various labels, products and billboards. Ooooh Yeah... I work in the modelling scene, that fickle little industry where the EGO feeds & thrives in total illusion!!! (: Anyone seen Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada? ~ "That's All":) lol... I've shaken my chakras in 100's of runway shows around the world. I still remember the day I fell off the bloody runway! Picture the scene.... on my head is a Mexican hat, not your average Mexican hat, this one was enormous, no joke, as large as a trampoline! Anyways, I'm striding along and an Amazonian type model on the opposite side was walking towards me, concerned about the size of the hat; I slightly stepped to the side, only to come crashing down on one leg. Audience gasps.... complete silence... there I stand, single legged... mental picture... one leg on the ground, the other still attached to the runway! In that very moment the world stopped still and my mind was racing overtime :))) .........how embarrassing! Another memorable and outrageous fashion show was the time I modelled with Iveseena Mirage, a transsexual from Sydney! OMG.... all this talk about re-living accumulated experiences.... moving right along to the dolphin story...

4:) This particular story is one of my favourites. I am 'blessed and full of gratitude' to have rescued two dolphins stranded on a beach in Tasmania. My one & only mission was saving the dolphins; every second was intensely in the moment. I felt only awareness and totally lost the ME. The love and the oneness I felt for those beautiful creatures was all there was... and all there ever will be ~ NOW everyone's a dolphin! lol They were heavier than I imagined, attempting to move them alone wasn't easy. With a gentle force, I managed to lift and roll the first dolphin through the sand and back into the water. I was re-energised when I observed it waiting for its buddy. After the second rescue, they frolicked about for a few minutes then swam out of the bay towards the sea. As the afternoon sun glowed and glistened upon the water, I looked up to see the silhouettes of their pod/family waiting for them. They all reunited and moved on, towards the open vastness of sea...

5:) I love... the oceans roar, the rustle of the trees ~ the fresh air, greenness and outdoors
the magic of the Australian Outback ~ the majesty of the Austrian Alps ~ the absolute stillness of the desert ~ the smell of sandalwood...

6:) I almost skied off the edge of an Austrian Alp, well sort of... skied on my butt more like it :)
It was way too late before I realised I was on a black run! 'feel the fear & do it anyway'

7:) I make a lip-smacking chocolate zucchini cake.........yummy!

8:) At times I have a limitless supply of energy and can get by on four hours sleep a night!

9:) I cannot be constricted to rules, regulations and tight schedules. I'm a ~~nonconformist~~, free spirit, but will try anything once (within reason) before making up my mind.

10:) I'm a happy-go-lucky 'dare-angel' and do most things on the spur of the moment.

You and I Are the Problem, Not the World

The world is not something separate from you and me; the world, society, is the relationship that we establish or seek to establish between each other. So you and I are the problem, and not the world, because the world is the projection of ourselves, and to understand the world we must understand ourselves. That world is not separate from us; we are the world, and our problems are the world's problems.

Our Responsibility

To transform the world, we must begin with ourselves; and what is important in beginning with ourselves is the intention. The intention must be to understand ourselves and not to leave it to others to transform themselves or to bring about a modified change through revolution, either of the left or of the right. It is important to understand that this is our responsibility, yours and mine; because, however small may be the world we live in, if we can transform ourselves, bring about a radically different point of view in our daily existence, then perhaps we shall affect the world at large, the extended relationship with others.

Deliberate Change Is No Change at All

In the very action of the individual changing, surely, the collective will also change. They are not two separate things opposed to each other, the individual and the collective, though certain political groups try to separate the two and to force the individual to conform to the so-called collective.

If we could unravel together the whole problem of change, how to bring about a change in the individual and what that change implies, then perhaps, in the very act of listening, participating in the inquiry, there might come about a change that is without your volition. For me, a deliberate change, a change that is compulsory, disciplinary, conformative, is no change at all. Force, influence, some new invention, propaganda, a fear, a motive compels you to change - that is no change at all. And though intellectually you may agree very easily with this, I assure you that to fathom the actual nature of change without a motive is quite extraordinary.
